Events that make a difference! We are a highly experienced team with over 20 years in the event industry, and a track record for producing award-winning, creatively driven festivals and campaigns. We are also renowned for our creative production skills, introducing and incubating new artistic talent.
Our flagship event Shambala Festival leads the UK industry in sustainability: it’s carbon net positive, meat-and-fish-free and powered only by renewables. We’re committed to safe guarding the environment and influencing positive behaviour change.
As such we have co-founded several industry think-tanks and initiatives, including Ecolibrium and Powerful Thinking, whose report The Show Must Go On has become the UK industry’s gold standard.
All our output follows Kambe’s rigorous sustainability policies, which are constantly updated and improved. We work with a diverse network of trusted creative professionals that includes production managers, H&S operatives, technicians, stage managers, artist liaisons, architects, artists, tech developers, marketing managers and designers.
Our portfolio and experience ranges from event consultancy, manufacturing and ethical event phone applications (boma.community), to producing green-field music arts festivals and large scale city events with up to 80,000 attendees. Jon Walsh Co-Founder, Director and COO is representing Kambe at BOMM.
Alongside sitting on the board and being Co-Director of Shambala, his focus is on the delivery of Kambe’s overarching strategy, mission vision values, all our events, projects and business activities. He’s responsible for the welfare of the wider team and development of our portfolio, as well and overseeing Kambe’s partnerships with RAW bottles and Boma.
Jon has a wealth of specialist experience in the music and events industry. He is part of the music booking group, has been instrumental in many successful start-ups, including setting up a record shop. He has developed event management software and managed multi million-pound budgets. He currently sits on the board of the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) in the UK.
